For many years, the WWII generation has sustained the community blood supply. It is now though. It is the right time for younger generations to step up and heed the Call of Duty.

WKYT and Kentucky Blood Center are now teamed up to sponsor the Blood Drive call of Call of Duty on Jan. 8 and Jan. 9. On these two days the blood drive focused on recruiting younger generation donors so that they can help beef up the blood supply that has been affected by the holidays and also by the recent winter weather.
All the younger donors received an army green long-sleeve Call of Duty T-shirt.
Moreover, people who had registered to donate also were automatically eligible to win a choice of a Nintendo Wii, Xbox or Apple iTouch.
On Jan. 8 and Jan. 9 all the Kentucky Blood Center donor centers were opened for extended hours i.e until 8 p.m..
