Both, Treyarch and Activision is waiting for November 9th when their shooter game Call of Duty: Black Ops will be launched on PS3, Xbox 360, PC and also on Nintend DS.

According to Evan Wilson, an analyst, Call of Duty: Black Ops sales may reach 12 million units and this is quite a big increase from what it was earlier talked for 10 million units.

This decsion of his came recently after the retailers pointed out that the pre orders of CoD: Black Ops are more than what was expected.

Well, the analyst is not expecting that the sale may reach 16 million units, which was reached by Modern Warfare 2 last year. The basic reason for this is the tough competition in the FPS area. Also, the image of Infinity Ward has come down after the Activision public scandal and its fallout.

The other game which will give competition to Black Ops is Medal of Honor of Electronic Arts that will have the battlefield of Afghanistan.

Moreover, Electronic Arts has publicly made an announcement that they want back the crown back in first person shooter games.
