Treyarch and Activision announced the first World at War map pack. It is known as Map Pack 1. It will take players to the middle of a bombed out city. The city will have popular subway, dense jungle and also a zombie-filled asylum. This will be released in March and it is in development for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. It is not announced for Wii. Sorry for Wii owners.

The official press release of Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1 says, “New conflicts are on the horizon for one of the most intense online multiplayer games of 2008.” The newsletter also reads that “will take Xbox 360(TM), PLAYSTATION(R)3 computer entertainment system and Windows(R) PC fans to the streets of a war-ravaged Berlin in “Nightfire,” deep into deadly jungles to attack fortified Japanese positions in “Knee Deep” and through a bombed out underground subway system in “Station.”

The official newsletter given to media also adds one interesting thing about the new release. It writes that the new pack will “also expand upon the fan-favorite four-player co-op Nazi Zombie bonus mode with “Verruckt” (Zombie Asylum) – a fourth map that features more weapons, new Perks-a-Cola machines, electroshock defenses and endless, attacking legions of undead.”
