This decsion of his came recently after the retailers pointed out that the pre orders of CoD: Black Ops are more than what was expected.
Well, the analyst is not expecting that the sale may reach 16 million units, which was reached by Modern Warfare 2 last year. The basic reason for this is the tough competition in the FPS area. Also, the image of Infinity Ward has come down after the Activision public scandal and its fallout.
The other game which will give competition to Black Ops is Medal of Honor of Electronic Arts that will have the battlefield of Afghanistan.

The latest bit of information collected makes this rumor little real.

Treyarch recently confirmed that the pre-orders of Call of Duty: Black Ops is beating the pre-orders of Modern Warfare 2.
Evan Wilson, analyst of Pacific Crest Securities said that it is better Black Ops does good in pre-orders as, he believes, this game won’t beat Modern Warfare 2 in terms of sales. He says that the main reasons behind his statement are “Competition, weaker marketing, and Infinity Ward situation.”
